- The situation
- Emma runs a candle shop and wanted a record of a competitor's public posts and stories over a season.
- What they did
- She read PeekViewer's pricing and refund pages first, checked that one plan covers one account, and noted the renewal date before deciding.
PeekViewer review
PeekViewer is a paid service that collects what a public Instagram account shares and keeps it in a dashboard. This review sets out what its own site says it offers, what it costs, how billing and refunds work, and where its limits are.

Is PeekViewer worth it?
It depends on what you needIf you want a dated record of a public account, with downloads, a history kept for up to 3 months and alerts, its site describes a paid service built for that. For one quick look at a public profile, a free viewer may be enough. For private accounts, read what it cannot do first.

- 3
Its FAQ says public profile data usually arrives within 15 minutes, and within 24 hours at the latest.
- 4

What its site says you get.
Everything in this section comes from PeekViewer's home page and pricing page as they read on 3 October 2026. It describes public Instagram accounts.
Public profile activity
PeekViewer's site says it opens a public profile and shows what the account posts, how often, and how people respond.
Public stories
Its site says you can watch public stories with no Instagram account of your own, and follow how often a profile posts them.
Followers and followings
It says it lists a public account's followers and followings and shows how those lists change over time.
Comments and likes
It says you can read the comments on public posts, see who left them and open the replies. Likes appear in its list of data too.
Tagged photos
It says it shows public photos where the person is tagged, including photos that do not appear in their own grid.
Downloads and history
It says stories, photos and videos can be saved in original quality, and that files and the content you viewed are kept for up to 3 months.
Also listed on its pricing page
- Alerts for new posts, new followers and new followings
- Location tags and cloud space
- Stories saved for up to 3 months
- Highlights, likes and reposts viewers in its menu
- Use in a browser or as an app on iPhone, Android, Mac or PC
Its FAQ says that once the data is uploaded, content the person later deletes stays stored in your space on PeekViewer.
Its FAQ says PeekViewer does not give access to Direct Messages on any account.
Four steps, as PeekViewer describes them.
Its home page sets out the flow below. The difference from a free viewer is the order: you sign up and pay first, and the data arrives in your account afterwards.
- Step 1
Choose what to view
Its home page starts with a choice of content. The page that follows asks whether the account you want is open or private.
- Step 2
Enter a username
You type the Instagram username or profile link. Its site says no Instagram account or password of yours is needed.
- Step 3
Sign up and pay
You create a PeekViewer account with an email and choose a plan. Its terms say an order needs billing details and a payment method.
- Step 4
Wait for the data
Its FAQ says public profile data is usually ready within 15 minutes and uploaded to your dashboard within 24 hours at the latest.
A free viewer loads a public profile while you wait. PeekViewer describes a delivery to your account instead, with timing that depends on how much public content the account has.
Its FAQ says that if profile data is not delivered within one month, you can ask support to switch your plan to another account at no charge.
Three plans, each priced per month.
PeekViewer's pricing page lists three plans and labels each price per month. The figures here are the ones it published on 3 October 2026. Its terms say prices can change with notice, so the checkout screen is the figure that counts.
Its terms also say a package depends on the type of account you want to view and the features you select, as well as the plan. Read the total and the renewal date on the checkout screen before you confirm.

1-month plan, as listed on its pricing page
3-month plan, as listed on its pricing page
12-month plan, as listed on its pricing page
One plan, one account
Its terms say one subscription plan covers one target account. Following two accounts means two plans.
A month is 28 days
Its terms define a month as 28 calendar days for the 1- and 3-month plans. The 12-month plan lasts one calendar year.
It renews on its own
Plans renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends, according to its terms.
A $0.99 trial, where offered
Its Recurring Policy says a subscription may start with a one-day trial for $0.99 that becomes a paid plan unless cancelled before it ends.
Paid through PayPal
Its terms name PayPal as the payment provider, and say your bank may apply an exchange rate if your currency differs from the price.
Login sent by email
Its terms say your login details are emailed to you after purchase, or created by you while you register.
What its refund policy allows, and what it excludes.
PeekViewer's terms call this a money-back guarantee. The conditions below are from its Refund Policy, last updated 15 August 2025, and its Recurring Policy.
Its policy allows
- A full refund request within 14 days of purchase, subject to its conditions
- Your first PeekViewer subscription only
- One refund per customer
- A switch to another account at no charge if data is not delivered within one month, from its FAQ
Its policy excludes
- Requests made after 14 days
- Renewals, extensions, upgrades and downgrades between plans
- Change of mind, an accidental purchase, or not using it
- Accounts with no login for 45 days, which it calls dormant
- Data that existed on the profile before its service started, in its policy's words
Its policy says refund requests go by email to its support address, decisions are typically made within three business days, and bank or payment fees may be deducted.
Its Recurring Policy says you can cancel in your account settings at any time. The plan stays active to the end of the paid period, and that period's fee is not refunded except under the Refund Policy.
Its policy says a chargeback through your card company can lead to suspended access, and that a $25 reinstatement fee may apply.
Private accounts, and the other limits.
PeekViewer's pages do not say the same thing about private accounts. Its FAQ says it only works with public Instagram content, and its terms speak of publicly available content and say Instagram privacy settings may restrict access. Its account-type page, however, offers a choice between an open and a private account, and other parts of its site describe viewing restricted accounts.
A private account's posts and stories are delivered by Instagram only to followers the owner approved. This page cannot verify any method of getting around that, and does not recommend trying.
Only followers the owner approved see the posts, stories and highlights.
Its terms say PeekViewer does not guarantee access to any account.
Each plan covers one target account, by its terms. Several accounts mean several plans.
Its FAQ gives a usual 15 minutes and up to 24 hours for a public profile, so it does not suit a story you want to see this second.
Its FAQ says it does not show Direct Messages, on public or private accounts.
Who PeekViewer may suit, and who it may not.
The lists below follow from what PeekViewer says it offers and from its own terms.
It may suit
- Someone following a public account over weeks, such as a competitor or a brand, who wants a dated record
- Someone who wants public stories and posts saved for up to 3 months
- Someone who wants alerts when a public account posts or gains followers
- Someone with no Instagram account who is content to sign up with an email
It may not suit
- Someone who wants one quick look at a public profile today
- Anyone hoping to see a private account's posts or stories
- Someone following several accounts, since each plan covers one
- Anyone not ready to manage an auto-renewing plan and a 14-day refund window
This review is based on PeekViewer's own published pages, read on 3 October 2026: its home page, pricing page, account-type page, Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Recurring Policy. We did not buy a plan or run a test, so it makes no claim about results. UnseenProfile is independent and is not run by PeekViewer, Instagram or Meta.
PeekViewer next to a free viewer and Instagram itself.
Each route opens a public account differently. PeekViewer's column uses its own site; Instagram's column is what its website does for a visitor who is not signed in.

- What they did
- He read that Instagram delivers private posts only to approved followers, and sent a follow request from his own account.
- The situation

- What they did
- She turned off auto-renewal in her account more than 24 hours before the period ended, as PeekViewer's terms require, and kept the confirmation email.
